| B042 has been a project for us for several years now. I had the privilege of flushing this cows illustrious dam, GAR Precision 706 as well as her granddam, GAR EXT 2114. These Angus cows were dominant in their respective times for their carcass merit in the Angus breed. However, what really attracted me to this line of cattle was their completeness. Not only did they possess numbers to compete in the carcass field, they were tremendous from a phenotype standpoint. Add the proven maternal Angus sire, 8180 and B042 becomes a very interesting breeding piece for us. As you can tell by her daughter we have pictured as well as videotaped, 823T, we think our project is coming to fruition. B042 has not been a very consistent embryo producer, therefore we have few progeny by her. She is due to calve soon and I have many plans for her. In the meantime, we have concentrated heavily on her daughter, 823T sired by Junior. B042 is a massive cow yet moderate in frame and flawless in structure. She truly is a no holes female with tremendous upside in her potential. Her mating possibilities in the Balancer program are many and very exciting. |
